“Nakakainis” is a translation from Tagalog to English to be annoying or to irritate.

Nakakainis is an art show that aims to hinder the everyday, break cultural stereotypes with modern day slang and gen z ideology. To close the gaps of human relationships by centimeters

and create discomfort in the certainty of things we already know. Through various mediums such as Moving images, large scale photographs, projections and clothing installation I want to inspire to create discomfort in everything.

These works focus on the ideas of change, how it can really irritate Us. Change is the most common concept in the world and generally is the direction I choose to follow. Being able to follow what your scared of and move towards those things is how I believe I will find myself.

Nakakinis was chosen as the name as originally I wanted to irritate people, however now it only aims to focus on as a catalyst to give way to explore my works and identity to grow. A lot of my work involves and explores changing natures and Often my work is a reflection my life and how i view the world There is no real connection between my works, but rather series of different works that represent change, irritation or struggles, something that is such common concept within our lives but also the one that has the biggest impact.
