Justin Cueno is a passionate photographer and an emerging Australian Filipino born contemporary artist working across an expanded field of performance and moving image.

With a deep connection to Western Sydney and the community, Justin’s work explores the rising culture within second generation migrants in Western Sydney, capturing the essence of everyday life and the cultural richness of the region. Alongside, traditional upbringings of Filipino values and the decolonisation of Philippine history.

With a background in photography, Justin Cueno thrives within his surroundings and the community around him. He makes works that are abstract, expressive, digital and performative bringing a unique perspective to his work, combining technical skill with a keen eye for storytelling.

With his upbringing in Western Sydney and his ties within the community, recently his work has been inspired by the second generation migrants in the community and is currently dedicated to documenting the diverse communities sharing their stories with a wider audience.
